The face I cant resist.

Yep.................. Ive been scrapping again. I just cant seem to help myself these days.
I think I needed a colour fix with all this rainy weather we are having here in 'not so sunny QLD'
You know me, I just cant resist colour. LOL.
I picked up the cutest vintage book at a Goodwill store and I couldn't wait to chop it up.
It was perfect for this LO I thought. I got to use one of my new journal stamps too.
OK its just a quick post I can hear my house work calling. Bye. TFL.

Almost one.

I didn't think I was going to get any scrapping done until the New Year but turns out I have a problem and just couldn't wait that long. Anyone know the number for Scrapbookers anonymous? LOL.
Anyway I kind of consider this LO a collaborative effort and here's why.........
Most of the paper was given to me by Gilly.
The chipboard button and doily are from Jodie and that beautiful journalling tag is from another scrapping friend Leanne.
I really love the colours on these college press papers. Think I'm gonna have to get some more.
Hope you all had a lovely Christmas. (We sure did.) I hope you have a happy and safe New Years too. TFL.

Cards....

Well there is at least 2 birthdays in my family in January so I thought it was time I got cracking on some cards. Well actually I did have some ulterior motives. Just couldn't wait to use my new border punch and stamp that Paul got me for Christmas.
So here they are the number 5 one is for my funny little nephew who is having a birthday early January and the blue and brown card is for my Mum who's birthday is later in the month.
I am in love with that stamp. Love the fiskars border punch too. I also got some lovely background stamps and some fantastic journalling stamps that Ive wanted forever so I'm a very happy girl.

More journals

I made some more journals these are so easy and I thought they would make nice Chrissy presents. I'm pretty sure the people I made them for don't read my blog so I hope I'm safe to post them here before Christmas.
There has been no time for other scrapping I'm afraid and I don't think I will be able to until after New Years now. Its gonna be tough. LOL. I suffering withdrawals already. Ive got so many ideas buzzing around in my head but I'm trying to prove that I'm not to obsessed in the hope that when we move next year hubby might give in and agree to me getting my own Scrap room. Yeah right! OK bye for now. TFL.

Thats my boy.

Here is my birthday boy again. I love this photo of him he looks like such a big boy.
This is so not what I wanted it to turn out like when I started this LO but it had a mind of its own. LOL.
More Kitty Robot cuteness on this LO not to mention a few of my buttons.
This is the first time Ive used glimmer mist on my card stock. Ive used it to colour embellishments but never on my back ground. Behind the times I know.
I used yellow daisy and patina.
I love that pom pom trim. Ill let you in on a secret................... You will be able to get your hands on some from my Lil Red Rocket Etsy store in the new year.
Ive got pink, red, turquoise, green and orange they are all bright and delicious. So stay tuned. TFL.

Mischief Maker.

Well I think that the title says it all. Hard to believe this little package of cheekiness is going to be 3 tomorrow. He is getting even more clever every day.
Today we discovered he can whistle! Where does he learn this stuff?
Anyhow this is a pretty simple LO. No inking distressing and no embellishments. Shock horror.
I kind of like the simpleness and clean lines though and was surprised to find I didn't find the need to pile the embellishments on. Unlike the LO above. Oooops! TFL.

Love this boy.

Here's a LO I completed earlier in the month for the DT challenge for December on
Sorry I did warn you in an earlier post that it was a bit bright.
Check out the little Kitty Robot button. How cute is he!
Not to mention my baby boy. Look at those chubby cheeks. I could just dunk him in my coffee LOL.
I have 2 more LOs (both about Tys) almost finished. Just waiting on some titles.
The competition on Out of the Hat is closed for this month and the entries have been amazing. There are some very talented scrappers out there.
If you missed out on entering this month there is always January. There will be great prizes as always. I hope you'll have a go.
OK bye for now. TFL.

new elastics.

Some new elastics to show you. These ones are a bit different. All lacy and pretty. I'm just about to up load these on Madeit but they will be seriously limited. I have plenty of this fabric but not much lace. I may be able to do something similar in the future but not exactly like these.
That's all I have for 'show and tell' today. I want to scrap but by the time I get the kids in bed I just cant be bothered with pulling everything out and even less bothered with packing it back up again. Oh to have my own scrap space..............................well a girl can dream cant she.
OK off to do something productive. TFL.

Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas la la la la......

Well with only 11 days til Christmas I thought I should pull my finger out and make some Christmas presents. I'm only giving hand made gifts this year.
Well except for the ones for the boys that is. I don't know how to make a Transformer or a Ninja Turtle LOL and since that's what Tys asked 'Ho Ho' for I guess he might not be overly impressed with earrings, hair elastics or 2010 personal diary.
Anyway. Here is what I made Miss Fay, Tysons Pre Kindy teacher.
Well I covered it at least. Its a 2010 diary. I used one of Jodies Sweet Vintage doilies which I think was the perfect finishing touch.
The ribbon and cinnamon sticks are just a little extra and something different than wrapping it in paper. I'm fairly pleased with how it turned out and It was super easy and fast to make.
I'm making more for family and Ill post them here when they are done.
I have also made some more hair elastics. These new ones are a bit different from my other designs. Very soft and pretty looking using pretty fabrics and lace.
When the sun comes out I might be able to get some photos to show you.
OK I'm off to the post office to post off some more Lil' Red Rocket orders. Bye for now. TFL.

And more buttons.

Just a few new addition to the shop. Hippo elastics, Yellow Frog elastics and a Yellow Lil' Leapers mix.
On the kit front, Ive just ordered the most gorgeous little vintage finds to include in my kits. I think I'm going to find it hard to part with them. LOL. I cant wait to receive them but I don't expect to see them before Christmas so the BIG reveal will have to wait till 2010. Scary to think just how close that is now.
OK that's all for now. TFL.

Look new buttons!

Here's some Squirrel buttons in brown. These lil guys go great with Cosmo Cricket 'Nutmeg' and 'Earth Love' ranges. I think these guys are my fav ATM.
As you can see Ive made them into elastics too.
Ive got some yellow frogs about to be released soon so stay tuned for those.
I just wanted to share THIS fantastic LO by the very talented Sharmaine. I love what shes done with the Yellow Spotty Lil' Red Rocket button.
Its so great to see people using my buttons and in such a clever way.
Thanks for letting me share this Sharmaine.
OK that's all for now. Hopefully next time Ill have some more new stock to share with you. TFL.

Little Guy.

Last weekend I went to a crop at my LSS with some forum friends from The Boxx.
It was the first time I had met Gilly, Renee and Geli. They are all so lovely and I had a fantastic time. I cant remember the last time I laughed so much.
We were the smallest table but I think we may have been the loudest. LOL.
It was so much fun and I cant wait to catch up again.
Any way I got 2 LOs almost finished and here's the first. Gilly lent me her Martha Stewart punch for this one and I loved it. Gotta get my self one now.
You might notice the close up of my brown squirrel button. I'm about to make some more and load them in my store. They go quite well with these 'Earth Love' papers by 'Cosmo Cricket' don't you think?.
The second LO I made at the crop just needs a title and then Ill post it here.
Ive just loaded a heap of new hair elastics in my Madeit and Etsy shop and Ive got some components on order to make some hair clips. They should be here any day now.
I have also ordered the most delicious jewellery components. Lots of gorgeous vintage beads and some Japanese Vintage glass cabochons which I plan to make into some pretty little rings.
Oh and the cutest little vintage glass owls for earrings and maybe some pendants.
They will be limited so Ill post them here for all my followers to get the sneak peek so you can get in first if you like them. I will post them on Etsy and Madeit for my Aussie customers who prefer not to mess around with the whole US dollar thing.
Oh and there will be a couple of embellishment pack coming out soon too.
OK thats all for now. Gotta get stuck into this house work before it gets too hot. Bye for now. TFL.

Sweet Dreams

Here's something a bit different for me. Not my usual style. This Websters pp was a little out of my comfort zone because they are so beautiful it nearly broke my heart to cut them up. LOL.The other paper Ive used were all scraps and The lace Ive had hanging around forever.
Sorry it didn't photograph too straight but you get the idea.
The blue doilies are by SWEET VINTAGE and Ive just added some white ink over the top to give them more of a faded appearance.
Ive also added some blue ink over the top of one of the cream doilies that Paul (my wonderful husband) picked up for me from a church sale.
The white foam letters have also been sponged with the same blue ink. I picked up those letters from the cheap shop. $2.99 a pack. Gotta love that.
The blue letters are foam Thickers.
I'm off to a crop tonight at my LSS and I'm catching up with a few girls from 'The Boxx' there so that should be fun and I might even make a new LO to post tomorrow. OK Bye for now. TFL.

My Beautiful boys.

Hi all. Ive been messing around with Picnik again, but this time Ive used the Premium version.
So much cool stuff on the Premium program. I was up til midnight messing around with some photos and could have been up way longer if my eyeballs hadn't been hanging out of their sockets. LOL.
Here's just 2. The close up of Jedd was done using Picnik and a bit from Picasa. I wanted his eyes to really pop and be the focus of this image. I could get lost in those big saucer eyes of his.
Check out the one of Tys. What a poser. He gets that from his Dad. He did have tomato sauce all over his face in the original (he gets that from his Dad too lol.) Can you tell?LOL. TFL.

First Mad Hatter LO.

Hi there
I just wanted to share with you my first LO as a Mad Hatter.' So greatful for you'. I'm really proud to be part of the new team and I couldn't wait to get started on this months challenge. I actually had it done by the 1st but with my Internet allowance cut I had to wait till today to show you.
I'm not really happy with how it photographed. I'm having a bit of trouble getting them straight ATM. Ive been thinking about using the tripod but with the kids around that is almost impossible. I take all my photos early in the morning in Tyson's room because that's when and where I get the best light.
With out Paul home to keep them out from under my feet it makes things very difficult.
Anyway you can see my delema.
Check out the cute little KITTYROBOT button. I just couldnt resist using it on this LO. The criteria was rub ons, paper cutting and spots so how perfect was this spotty little toadstool.
I hope youll have a look and even join in the challenge this month. There is aways great prizes from fantastic sponsors up for grabs.
You can find the Out Of The Hat blog HERE. TFL.
